By sawing old hand-hewn beams, we obtain panelling planks used in the interior as well as exterior. This surface is guaranteed to be the original work of old master carpenters showing the effects of the weather and aged oxidation of the timber. The beautiful appearance, texture and patina of these hand-hewn beams creates the charm and nostalgia of bygone times even in modern buildings. The age of the timber always exceeds two hundred years
We plane the original-off surface of the hand-hewn beams to a thickness of 30 mm. On the sides, we trim the plank to remove potential bulges in the material, but maintain the maximum width of the hewn slab. Then we shorten the material in an effort to keep the maximum possible length of healthy material. In the final step, we brush the surface using special brushes, thus accentuating the individual growth rings and hews on the surface.
